El teatro es un lugar donde abordar los tabúes de una sociedad, y también donde perpetuarlos, donde ‘desenterrar las palabras’ (parafraseando a Clara Valverde), y donde enterrarlas definitivamente. La falta de elaboración social del trauma transgeneracional causado por la violencia política en el estado español desde 1936 afecta al acercamiento artístico y teatral a dicho conflicto y a su representación escénica. Este trabajo rastrea los efectos nocivos psico-sociales del trauma en los planteamientos de textos y espectáculos teatrales del siglo XXI con referencias directas o indirectas a la denominada Guerra Civil y la represión franquista, así como ejemplos de propuestas que inciden en la construcción de procesos de paz a través de la puesta en escena de verdad, justicia y reparación.
The theater is a place where to tackle the taboos of a society, and also where to perpetuate them, where to ‘unbury the words’ (paraphrasing Clara Valverde), and where to bury them definitively. The lack of social elaboration of the transgenerational trauma caused by political violence in the Spanish state since 1936 affects the artistic and theatrical approach to this conflict and its scenic representation. This work traces the harmful psycho-social effects of trauma by the perspective of plays and staging of the 21st century with direct or indirect references to the so-called Civil War and Francoist repression, as well as through examples of proposals that affect the construction of processes of peace through the staging of truth, justice and reparation.
