Abstract

La literatura rivaliza con el cine y acabo tranquilizándolo obra, Cinelandia, que Ramón Gómez de la Serna califica regocijadamente de novela. Mediante un uso acrobático de figuras de movimiento, un exuberante despliegue de greguerías en formaciones seriales y acumulaciones desordenadas, Ramón asume en el texto literario, con deliberada confusión, no sólo la ficción cinematográfica sino también todo el sistema humano, material, “real“ que sustancia el cine. Fascinado por la sugestión subliminal que el cine es capaz de ejercer en el espectador, el autor derrama en Cinelandia reflexiones antropológicas sociales y existenciales a veces muy serias que proceden de esta seducción; pero de manera ubicua; y rehuiendo siempre de lo trágico.

Literature rivals cinema and finally exploits it in a text, Cinelandia, that Ramón Gómez de la Serna has amusedly named novela. Through an acrobatic use of movement figures and an exuberant deployment of greguerías in serial formations as well in chaotic accumulation, Ramón assumes in his literary text, according to a deliberate confusion, not only the cinematic fiction but also the human, material, and “real” system setting up films. Fascinated by the subliminal way films can involve the public, the author scatters throughout Cinelandia anthropological, social and existencial considerations coming from this form of seduction and always revealing, even when very serious, an oblique and never tragic manner.
