Abstract

Se aborda desde una perspectiva cuir/cuy(r) que junta decolonialidad y sexodisidencia los significados de atrapamiento y muerte que el libro tuvo para ciertas personas nativas en Abya Yala que fueron calificadas por lxs conquistadorxs como “sodomitas”. El análisis visibiliza cómo dicho atrapamiento letrado inicialmente se gestó desde la colonización española a partir de la categoría 'travesti', teniendo un nuevo renacer a inicios del siglo XX, bajo los textos basados en el paradigma normalizador que imponía la medicina y el derecho, y que recreaban fantasías de aniquilación del sujeto sexodisidente. Interesa subrayar, no obstante, cómo las personas travestis han resignificado lo letrado hoy en día para repensar la resistencia y vitalidad en el complejo mercado literario contemporáneo. Para este examen se tomarán textos de Pablo Palacio para dar cuenta de la normalización y muerte sodomita; y de Frau Diamanda/Héctor Acuña para entender la vital producción travesti diaspórica andina.  

From a cuir/cuy(r) perspective, which links decoloniality and sexual dissidence, this paper aims to reflect on meanings of entrapment and death that books imposed over certain native people in Abya Yala described by Spanish conquerors as “sodomites.” The analysis underlines how this literate entrapment was initially created during Spanish colonization through a category: the 'travesti'; but then had a new rebirth at the beginning of the 20th century, under texts based on the normalizing paradigm that medicine and law imposed recreating fantasies of annihilation of queer subjects. However, travesti people have redefined what literacy is today in the complex contemporary literary market enabling ideas of resistance and vitality. For this exam, Pablo Palacio’s texts will be taken into account for the normalization and death of the sodomite; and Frau Diamanda/Héctor Acuña will be considered to understand the vitality of travesti Andean diasporic production.
