Abstract

Dentro La vigencia del tema de la guerra civil en la novela no ofrece lugar a dudas dada la cantidad increíble de obras publicadas desde los últimos veinte años. En el voluminoso corpus se encuentra una gran variedad de subtemas, subgéneros, estrategias narrativas, calidad en los textos, etc., y la metaficción, o sea la autoconciencia de la ficción y el juego entre la realidad y la ficción, viene a ser la orientación más relevante de las primeras décadas del siglo XXI.
En este artículo esbozo primero la teoría de la metaficción para luego estudiar unos cuantos textos novelescos que utilizan dicha estrategia, categorizándolos desde los más sencillos hasta los más complejos en las diferentes lenguas de la península ibérica y en otras internacionales. Espero con ello dar cuenta de una tendencia nueva y de las más interesantes en la novelística del vendaval de 1936-1939, vendaval que sopló tan fuerte y que influye todavía en tantos escritores de hoy día. 

The subject of the Spanish Civil War in the novel is still in force and does not offer place to doubts given the incredible amount of works published during the last twenty years. In the voluminous corpus there is a great variety of subtopics, subgenres, narrative strategies, quality in the texts, etc., and metafiction, that is, the self-consciousness of fiction and the play between reality and fiction, becomes the most relevant orientation of the first decades of the 21^st century.
In this article, I will first outline the theory of metafiction and then analyze a few fictional texts that use this strategy, categorizing them from the simplest to the most complex in the different languages of the Iberian Peninsula and other international languages. With my study I hope to give an account of a new trend and one of the most interesting in the novel of the gale of 1936-1939, a gale that blew so strong and still influences so many writers even today.
