El artículo propone un análisis de las notas al pie de página que aparecen en las cinco traducciones españolas de la Grammatica della fantasia. lntroduzione all’arte di inventare storie (1973) de Gianni Rodari (1920-1980). Se tratará de establecer, por una parte, cuál es el contenido y la función de cada una de las notas insertadas por los traductores, es decir, cuándo y por qué estos toman la palabra y se hacen visibles; y, por otra, su eficacia dentro del texto y su utilidad para el lector meta.
The present article proposes an analysis of the footnotes that appear in the five Spanish translations of the Grammatica della fantasia. lntroduzione all’arte di inventare storie (1973) by Gianni Rodari (1920-1980). The aim will be to establish, on the one hand, what the content and function of each of the footnotes inserted by the translators is, in other words, when and why they take the floor and become visible; and, on the other, their effectiveness within the text and their usefulness to the target reader.
